All LAMPTRON products are RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) compliant which means they meet the allowed requirements of electrical component materials to be sold within the European Union.
Can I run my LAMPTRON fan controller beyond the recommended wattage?
We do not recommend exceeding the specification listed for each controller, as it will severely reduce the lifespan of the product and could potentially result in a catastrophic failure.However all LAMPTRON controllers are tested during the design phase to typically withstand overdraw and overvoltage in some shape or form.
Do LAMPTRON products come with a warranty?
Yes. All LAMPTRON products have a warranty of some form or another. Fan controller products are typically backed with a 1 year free replacement warranty which protects against all manner of potential manufacturer defect’s that could result in the failure of your unit. Other products such as lighting and remote control related devices typically come with a 6 month warranty as well.
How do I go about submitting a claim with LAMPTRON for an RMA on a defective product?
If you require an RMA, and are unable to return your product to your local retailer for exchange after purchasing, please contact a LAMPTRON support representative using our support ticket system to be issued an RMA number.
What if my LAMPTRON product is no longer sold, can it still be replaced?
If your product is no longer sold through LAMPTRON and no replacement is available at the time of your RMA approval, typically an alternative such as repair will be offered to the customer free of charge.
Can we purchase components to repair LAMPTRON products ourselves directly from the manufacturer, or receive information related to how to repair a LAMPTRON product?
Unfortunately at the moment we do not offer components or information related to replacing components to the general public due to copyright restrictions.
Do you take returns on products that look similar to LAMPTRON products?
No. There are many counterfeit and look alike LAMPTRON products available through many internet sources, however we will only replace or repair LAMPTRON brand products.
How do I know if I have purchased a legitimate LAMPTRON product or a fake?
The majority of the time, fake LAMPTRON products will be packaged somewhat differently then official LAMPTRON products as the packaging we use is typically not standard issue. However in some instances you may have to look at further details to determine if your product is indeed legitimate. LAMPTRON controllers for instance are clearly identified with serial numbers on the back of the controller, either via a sticker on the PCB board or the side panel. Newer model LAMPTRON controllers now feature an official “black” PCB with the LAMPTRON name clearly printed on the board itself. If you believe you may have inadvertently purchased a fake LAMPTRON product, we recommend you report it to us, and return the product to the retailer you purchased from.
